Gym rules and regulations

1. Abuse of equipment will not be tolerated.
2. Equipment must be replaced after usage.
3. Loud or abusive language will not be permitted.
4. Street clothing will not be permitted.
5. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted.
6. Shoes must be worn at all times (no sandals or open toe shoes).
7. Removal of outer clothing is permitted only for posing.
8. No barbells/dumbbells permitted on leather benches.
9. Lockers are to be used only during workout hours.
10. Only Powerhouse staff may sell in-house products. No illegal or unprescribed drugs or steroids.
11. No nuisance, disturbance, harassment or threats toward members, guests or staff.
12. No food or gym bags allowed in the gym area.
13. No drinks other than water allowed in the gym area.
14. No children are permitted in the workout area.

Anyone who violates these rules is subject to expulsion from the gym indefinitely.

Warranty of physical fitness

The member warrants that they are in good physical condition and have no disability, impairment or ailment which would be adversely affected by participation in a physical conditioning programme. We urge all members to obtain a physical examination from their physician before using any exercise equipment or attending any exercise class.

Waiver of liability

Members participate in physical conditioning programmes and use the facilities, services and equipment at their own risk. Powerhouse Gym and King’s Sports Centre shall not be liable for the loss or theft of, or damage to, the personal property of any member or guest.

Billing and renewal

Annual billing

12 equal monthly instalments, automatically billed to your stored card.

Month to month

Enrollment fee plus first month on sign-up, then monthly until terminated.

Past due

Beyond 60 days the contract accelerates, the full balance falls due, plus a CI$20.00 late fee.

Termination

30 days written notice and a CI$100.00 cancellation fee.

Renewal

No new enrollment fee if renewed within 30 days of expiry.

Lapsed annual

Over 90 days lapsed is repriced at the current monthly rate.

Transfers

Annual memberships are transferable to the same classification. CI$50.00 per person, 30 days written notice.

Deferment

CI$100.00, of which CI$80.00 credits your membership. Balance due within 30 days.

Guests

Must be accompanied by a member and present identification. CI$10.00 per visit after the first.

Refunds

All membership purchases are nonrefundable.
